Become a Life Model
Got the patience to hold still while people stares at you for twenty minutes? We’re looking for models — male and female — to pose for our sculpting sessions and course content.
Long poses are just part of how sculpture works — it’s how we get the time to really study form. Whether it’s a single studio session or a full week-long workshop, we need people willing to hold a pose and stay with us through the process.
We do this in a few formats:
Studio sessions run for 5 hours, structured in intervals: models pose for 20 minutes, followed by a 5-minute rest, then another 20/5, then a longer 20/10 — repeating this pattern until the session ends.
Workshops follow the same structure, but across 5 consecutive days rather than a single session.
We work to find poses our models can genuinely hold — we understand that sustaining a pose for one day is very different from doing it across five consecutive days, and we take that into account.
That said, it’s important for models to be fit and able to hold a pose for the required time. Artists are always drawn to dynamic, expressive poses, so finding the right balance between what the artist needs and what the model can comfortably provide is something we discuss together before the session — so we can find a pose that works well for everyone.
We offer $45/ hr.
Online Courses
( Only in Wellington,NZ )
We also need models to pose for our online courses and content. This is a different format from posing live — here, we photograph the model over a 3–4 hour session. We also need video content showing the body in motion, for anatomical studies. This material might take longer to get captured. This can be done in one or several sessions.
If you’re comfortable with photos but not video, that’s completely fine — just let us know, and if you’re able to do both, even better.
We offer $45/hr for the photo and video sessions, plus an additional $400 for the rights to use the images.
All material is handled with discretion and used internally for our students and course content. An alias is used to refer to the model, so your real identity is never revealed.
