Testing AI in My Sculptural Process
I decided to put theory into practice and explore how I could apply these ideas
This 10-week intensive course is designed to guide you through sculpting a 1:4 scale human figure in oil-based clay, following a carefully selected pose. You’ll work from home with step-by-step guidance, video demonstrations, and ongoing feedback from Javier throughout the process.
You’ll have access to a curated set of resources, including multi-angle photographs, videos, 3D models, and printable scans to support your learning journey beyond the course.
The curriculum focuses on structure, proportion, simplification, geometry, gesture, and moves into anatomical understanding—making it perfect for both beginners and experienced sculptors looking to sharpen their skills or gain fresh insight.
With nearly 30 years of experience in traditional sculpture and the film industry, Javier teaches by sculpting alongside students, demonstrating techniques, and offering clear explanations and artistic insights along the way.
You’ll also take part in a private Facebook group, where students submit progress photos, receive Photoshop-corrected feedback, and connect with others in a supportive and motivating environment.

Each week, you’ll send photos of your sculpture for feedback. Javier will reply by email and send you a short video with personalized corrections and tips to improve your work.
Zoom Catch-Ups
Every second weekend, we’ll host a live Zoom session where you can ask questions and get support. Can’t make it? No problem—recordings will be available on the course site to watch anytime.
Time Commitment
You’ll need around 5–7 hours per week. This could be 1 hour a day or 2-hour blocks across the week. The more time you put in, the better your results.
Skill Level
No sculpting experience? No worries. If you’ve drawn before or worked digitally, it’ll help—but Javier will guide everyone based on their level so you can make real progress.

In our studio, we’re proud to support the people who make this work possible—especially the models who pose for us. Every time you pay for a workshop, a small lifetime fee goes directly to them, so they continue to earn each time their reference is used.
By joining our courses, you’re not only learning valuable artistic skills—you’re also supporting personal, human-made art and those who contribute to it. It’s a conscious choice to back real creatives, instead of feeding profit-driven systems or the rising misuse of AI in the arts.
